The ACRE DAOs Call to Adventure: 1000 ACRE DAOs in 1000 Days starts in earnest when Season One kicks off April 1 with the launch of DOER Money DAO.
Hard to believe it has been a whole 90 days since ACRE DAOs launched on December 1, 2021 with an open call for Founding Members. What an exhilarating time immersing myself in the actual and real Web3, not the theoretical one I used to blog about! Here’s a short cut to the FAQ: ACRE DAOs FAQ
Inspired by my learning from and with wonderful people at the bleeding edge of “DAOing” (shout out dOrg, Seed Club, mClub, Mirror, Rug Radio, Forefront, JuiceboxDAO, ReFi DAO and MakerDAO!), I have decided that the future of Acre of America can only be a decentralized one. What that means exactly will reveal and unfold over the course of this year, but it begins with making a gift.
DOER MONEY TRUST
The tokenomics and social cohesion underpinning Web3 form a dynamic incentive set that can leverage basic philanthropic impulses toward a new kind of value multiplier benefiting each of the giver, specified non-charitable beneficiaries and charitable organizations over time.
ACREinvest as grantor of an irrevocable charitable remainder trust (CRT) is preparing to donate the ACRE DAOs Angels Sponsorship Pool Juicebox smart contract and $ACRE Impact ERC20 token supply to DOER Money DAO exclusively for the benefit of ACRE DAOs members and regenerative economy charitable organizations.
As far as I know, this will be the first DAO use of a CRT legal entity structure called a NIMCRUT. NIMCRUT stands for net income with makeup charitable remainder unitrust.
Under the trust agreement:
ACREinvest continues in the capacity of Administrative Trustee with fiduciary responsibility to handle compliance and certain operational matters as directed by Trust Protectors on behalf of the community.
Qualifying ACRE DAOs members are beneficiaries and entitled to 50% of the DAO treasury’s net income annually.
Investment of Ethereum cryptocurrency $ETH donated to the DOER Money DAO Juicebox.money treasury smart contract will be programmatically deployed and managed for income generation via permissionless DeFi applications.
The DOER MONEY DAO crowdfund is currently active in stealth and accepting donations at https://juicebox.money/#/p/doer. As of today, gifts are rewarded with 857,375 $DOER/1 $ETH. That’s going to change ⬇️ by a lot when we officially launch in Season One.
The ACRE DAOs Ethereum protocol is the Investment Management Trustee and operates the member portal at www.acredaos.com.
Open-source development of the protocol will commence with on-chain voting approval of $DOER token holders via elected Delegates (the “Trust Protectors”) in Q4 2022.
GOVERNANCE
$DOER token holders elect Trust Protectors to oversee community governance, investment manager smart contract development and distribution of income to eligible ACRE DAOs members. The DAO offers USD stable coins 1:1 for $ACRE tokens earned doing regenerative economy work anywhere in the world.
During Season One, our 122 Founding Members will receive a limited edition Founders NFT designed to grant unique governance powers in adopting the community constitution, electing Trust Protectors and determining regenerative economy work that’s eligible for earning $ACRE tokens.
DOER Money is Permissionless Income for the Regenerative Economy Workforce!
The DOER Money DAO operates a Sponsorship Pool invested for the benefit of ACRE DAOs members. ACRE DAOs is a Web3 Impact Investment Club for change agents who believe that large numbers of people can effectively and dynamically organize for the funding of targeted regenerative economy solutions.
ACRE DAOs Membership is free, requiring only a brief permissionless application intended to foster community alignment and protect against trolls, lurkers and spammers.
Approved applicants receive a 1000 $ACRE Impact token airdrop which provides access to the token gated members portal and private Discord channels.
Admissions have been paused during the Pre-season.
Applications are still being accepted on the portal, but will remain in que until the start of Season One on April 1, 2022.
We believe the first order of business in re-imagining impact investing must be solving for the financial stability of ecosystem worker bees.
DOER Money DAO empowers talented people to work on regenerative economy solutions by providing a source of income for their time spent building and scaling markets and in creating the #ReFi assets people want to buy.
There are few paid contributor opportunities to work with and for DAOs which limits our ability to attract and retain the "doer" army we need to achieve our goals.
IMPACT
We will measure our own impact quite simply by four metrics: (1) the ROI of the Sponsorship Pool and amount of interest available every year to distribute to ACRE DAOs members, (2) the number of ACRE DAOs members actively engaged in work building crypto-native regenerative finance solutions, (3) the amount of $ACRE tokens earned for member contributions across the worldwide ecosystem, and (4) the value of DOER Money in USD stablecoins claimed with earned $ACRE Impact tokens.
